Zoe Boltt
Art Psychotherapist
Driven by a deep passion for art, I have dedicated my career to using creativity as a tool for expression, connection, and emotional growth in children. Since earning my BA in Illustration in 2017, I have worked in Early Years education, completing a PGCE in Early Childhood to support the emotional development of children aged 0-5 through art and play.
In 2020, I pursued an MA in Art Psychotherapy, gaining valuable experience through placements in a specialist school for children with neurodevelopmental needs and later in NHS CAMHS, working with children affected by developmental trauma in SEMH settings.
Alongside my training, I have built strong, trusting relationships with children and families through various roles, including private nannying (4 months – 8 years), facilitating art workshops for primary schools, and working as a playworker for disabled children and young people.
I moved from London to Margate in 2023 and established my own private practice, offering Art Psychotherapy to the local community. I was motivated to pursue a career at Channels and Choices to support children in care after encountering work with adopted children and their parents.
I remain a passionate advocate for Art Psychotherapy, believing in its power to help children connect with difficult emotions and express themselves beyond words.
